Daisy's Roos

Hi all, I have a friend who is looking for a home for two beautiful Light Brahma cockerels that are 8 weeks old. She needs to find a home rather quick. They are pure bloodlines and would make excellent 4H pets. Free to a good home. Let me know if you are interested.

Zach's Famous!

Well, at least his bottle opener is...

His Railroad Spike Bottle opener was featured today on KWGN News on The Morning Show in Colorado. He distributes to the recycled gift company, Revampt Goods, of Colorado, as mentioned on the program.

We're so proud of him and his beautiful craftsmanship. Just to clarify, Zach hand forged the bottle opener that the lady on the program is holding. Be sure to check out the broadcast video at http://www.kwgn.com/videobeta/83c064ed-eeec-4a7a-8a85-cd03e9b48b5f/News/Thrifty-Thursday-6-23

Wild Wednesday, Eastern Milk Snake

We found this beauty curled up in the flower bed at the new house. I was a little nervous because of the diamond pattern on its back, thinking it might be a Massasauga Rattle snake, which are poisonous. But there was no rattle. We read that each year a rattle snake adds a segment to it's tail, so as it gets older the rattle gets larger. I still wasn't thrilled with the idea of Zach handling it, but we're fairly sure its an Eastern Milk Snake, as it was quite a long snake, the tail was in tact and no evidence of a rattle. If any of you know anything about snakes, I'd love to hear your input.

Newbies, Fresh Out

With the move, I completely forgot to share with you the photos of our newest hatching's. Most of these are sold now.

These are Aracaunas/Americauna cross. They turned out some beautiful chicks, and larger than I expected.

Pile of French Black Copper Marans, and the one Wheaten Maran that came about.

Here's the wheaten that came from two FBCM parents. We have the last incubator of the year going with French Black Coppers for our own stock, part of me hopes we get a Wheaten in the mix. They're due to hatch in a week.

New Front Yard

Yesterday we went to the new house and were welcomed by some beautiful neighbors. This pair was in the front yard. I was so excited!

We've been so busy with the move, I'm trying my best to keep up with the blog. I'll try and get some photos up of the house and the barn and all the beautiful flowers that are in bloom.
