The skin on this pumpkin variety reminds me of stone or polished marble. The gray color, also called "blue" in the pumpkin world, is mottled throughout the skin. It reminds me of a Tim Burton version of a gourd. The flesh of this pumpkin isn't as sweet as some of it squash-y relatives, but would work well in savory dishes. It was developed in Australia, (although some say New Zealand) and is a beautiful addition to any garden or Fall display.
