Orchard Images

While we were raspberry picking (See August 1st, 2010 post) I snapped some photos from around the orchard. The cabbages were just about ready and were in beautiful blueish rows.

Even the weeds at Blakes are beautiful!

The blueberries weren't quite ready, we picked only one container.

 I love thistle. It's such an exotic looking plant with its spurs and thorns and it's sharp skeleton like leaves. The blossoms remind me of purple topped pineapples, and song birds love it, especially finches. I believe it is the official flower Scotland.
