Rouge Vif D'Etempes

This pumpkin is so vibrantly colored it almost looked fake growing in our patch this year. It's almost a neon deep red, (if there is such a color). In case you haven't guessed from the name, the Rouge Vif D'etempe is another French variety, developed in the 1800's. It grows in that same flat Cinderella shape. Great for roasting and is prized by Paris chefs.
