Solway Nipple Waterer for Poultry

Our representative at Solway was kind enough to send me the Nipple Waterer for Poultry for me to review and share what I thought with all our readers.

The waterer is ready to be filled, right out of the box, no assembly required. It can be set on a stand (like cinder blocks) or hung from the ceiling.

We decided to hang ours, so we bent a bit of wire to keep it centered.

I love the way it keeps the water clean, it's easy to fill and the chickens took to the new system very fast! They start with a curiosity toward the red nipples, then they learn that as they peck at them, water comes out. After the first chicken figures it out, the others come following and pick up on the new discovery.

Made in the U.S.A., the waterer waters 30-40 birds and is available with the Auto-Fill option.

The features that set it apart from other nipple watering systems are:

1. The water level can be seen from a distance no need to open it. 

2. The large opening makes it an easy clean, a little bleach and a swish with a cloth. 

3. The nipples don’t leak and you can set it down to fill.
