Knitted Fox Cowl and Hood

I wanted to share this adorable project my mother-in-law Kathy made for or brother and sister-in law and our nephew.

The pattern is called the Failynn Fox Cowl and can be found over at the The Velvet Acorn for only $5.50

I just love how whimsical and earthy it is. The rich, rusty color and the bulky, texture of the stitches make it look as though it was born in the depths of a deep, lush forest.

I love it!   

The pattern has instructions for sizes 12-18 months, 2T -4T, child 5-8, teen/small adult and adult.

Kathy used Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick yarn and large needles, size 13-15.

There is a small amount of crocheting around the hood to give it a finished look.
